Ready for Christmas! And a temari.

It is now less than three weeks until Christmas and I am pretty much completely finished everything except getting a tree and cleaning for visitors. I shipped off the package to Canada a few days ago and also finished sewing the 12 little bags for the "olive of the month club".

Why is my baby so big? He is 1 week shy of four months old and he is 21 pounds already. Yes, you read that right. 21 flippin' pounds. That is very off the charts, weight-wise, and he is about 95th percentile for length. He is as big as Johanna was at about 10 months old, and she was not small. He is essentially out of his carseat, Baby Bjorn, bouncer, and only has about 3-4 more pounds left on the swing. I so wanted a cute little baby to hold etc. and now I can barely lift him, never mind carry him around. He is not formula-fed, so the pediatrician says he is fine. I really wonder how big he is going to wind up being later...

So, I have not been doing much other crafting due to lack of time. I thought I would post something I did awhile ago instead.

This is a pair of bad photos of a temari ball I did many years ago, I think for my Mother-in-law. I would guess maybe Christmas 2002? I would really like to do more temaris someday. They are so stunning. But very time-consuming...
